FIU's Department of Journalism and Broadcasting is internationally-known for preparing students to be outstanding journalists who can report, write, produce video and multimedia stories that capture life in the rapidly urbanizing community of South Florida. SJMC classes train students to work in the new media landscape by offering hands-on skills, and encouraging students to experiment, innovate and think entrepreneurially.
