In this program, you will develop the versatile communications skills and in-depth knowledge you need to start a successful career in advertising and marketing communications, broadcasting, media production, journalism or public relations and communication management. In the first year, youll build fundamental writing, critical thinking and digital media design skills and develop specialized knowledge in each of these dynamic industries. In the second year, you will choose a specialization and further develop your knowledge in preparation for graduation and a career.<br><br>Specialize in Advertising and Marketing Communications or Public Relations and Communication Management to complement your industry-level writing skills with an in-depth investigation of brand marketing, web design, digital marketing, analytics and digital media strategy, production and design. Specialize in Journalism or Media Production to explore new and traditional storytelling techniques. Widen your skill set with digital storytelling and digital media design courses and learn to use state-of-the-art photography and videography equipment and industry-standard production techniques. Youll develop your skills through practical learning in a media production and broadcast studio, a Foley/sound recording studio and various dedicated lab spaces.
