国际学生入学条件

To be considered for acceptance into any of our graduate programs, students usually have a Bachelor's degree in bioinformatics, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or statistics & applied mathematics.

English Language Testing

The programs Biomolecular Engineering, Chemistry, Computational Media, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics and Applied Mathematics, and Technology and Information Management each require 570 on the paper-based test, 230 on the computer-based test, and 89 on the internet-based test.

For those choosing to take the IELTS, a minimum overall score of 7 from the IELTS test is required for admission.

Computational Media is all around us video games, interactive narrative, dynamic visualizations, smartphone apps, virtual reality, social media, personality-rich robots, individualized health coaching, and more. To create these kinds of media, to deeply understand them, to push them forward in novel directions, requires a new kind of interdisciplinary thinker and maker. The new graduate degrees in Computational Media at UC Santa Cruz are designed with this person in mind. The M.S. is designed to help you build on your existing strengths and move into new areas. The Ph.D., on the other hand, is designed for those who are already actively working in computational media and want to develop new knowledge that will change what is possible and how we understand it. The Ph.D. will provide you with an interdisciplinary foundation and supportive research community for moving your work forward.<br><br>Note: The GRE is not required for the Computational Media M.S. or Ph.D. program, and will not be considered even if scores are submitted.
