Literature faculty offer a variety of seminars in English, American, and World literature each semester during convenient evening hours. Readings will enrich your understanding of major authors and influential movements, introduce you to emerging and current authors, or explore such topics as literary theory, creative writing, women's literature, and poetics. A Literature faculty advisor helps each student to select a plan of study and to maintain progress toward completion of the Master of Arts in Literature from University of Houston-Clear Lake. Graduate studies in Literature at UHCL lead to the Master of Arts (M.A.) degree. Students may study literature from the distant past to the present. Concentrations are available in American Studies and in Writing Theory and Practice.
