For admission to M.A. candidacy in Russian or Slavic Studies, students must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Russian language equivalent at the very least to the proficiency expected at the end of three years (advanced level) of college study. They must also be acquainted with the major facts of Russian literature and history.

Submit official transcripts or mark-sheets for each year of post-secondary education, as well as official copies of degrees awarded. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for review purposes during the application process, but official transcripts must be submitted upon matriculation.

A score of 100 or higher on the TOEFL iBT test or 7.0 or higher on the IELTS test is required for students who speak a native language other than English.
