The program is rich in both theory and practice – you’ll be involved in cutting-edge research projects and experiential education opportunities in research disciplines related to early modern French literature and culture, French literature, francophonie, digital humanities, linguistics, and more.Completed over the course of one year, you can choose from three study options including a thesis, master’s research paper or coursework. You’ll benefit from international conferences that are regularly organized by the department and a lecture series that provides you with the opportunity to meet top scholars from around the world. You’ll be prepared for further study at the PhD level, or to pursue a career in teaching or the public or private sectors with roles like translatorinterpreter, intercultural consultant, language instructor, bilingual communications specialist, program coordinator for international organizations and NGOs, and bilingual program manager and customer relations.
