A doctorate in IO psychology prepares you to apply psychology to practical workplace problems and improve the quality of life at work.<br><br>Our doctorate program combines theory, research and practice to set you up for success. Courses cover the fundamentals of personnel psychology, organizational psychology and research methodology. You’ll also build a foundation in more general theories of psychology, such as advanced social psychology, group dynamics and cognitive psychology.<br><br>Beyond the classroom, you’ll work alongside faculty on research projects, thesis papers and other independent research. You’ll also have the opportunity to gain real-world experience through an internship at a local or national business such as Dow Chemical Company, Steelcase, Dow Corning or ICF International.<br><br>You’ll graduate ready to develop, implement and evaluate human resource programs through the application of the principles of personnel and organizational psychology.
