The Master of Science in Human Nutrition is the only weekend program of its type in Connecticut. We provide high-quality nutrition education at the graduate level for working adult students in the food, pharmaceutical, and allied health fields so that they may apply current, in-depth nutritional knowledge in their areas of specialization. The M.S. in Human Nutrition program at the University of New Haven is grounded in the biomedical sciences and focuses on the role of nutrition in health and disease. The 33-credit curriculum is designed to give graduates a deep understanding of the close connections among nutrition, health, and disease, and will provide you with a detailed study of the body of knowledge necessary to understand these connections and the evidence supporting them. Program Highlights: Small classes that allow you to benefit from working closely with faculty, Expert professors who have years of industry experience in the fields of nutrition and science and Classes that meet just one weekend each month, easily accommodating busy professional schedules. The M.S. in Human Nutrition with a concentration in Nutritional Genomics provides you with a detailed understanding of how individual genetic variation can influence the assimilation and metabolism of foods and how food can affect the expression of certain genes known to be involved in chronic diseases.
