Bachelor of Arts in Human Development students study individual, family, and group dynamics to gain an in-depth understanding of human behavior. This degree enables students to advance their current careers, make career changes to the human services field, or pursue master's level study upon program completion. Graduates are prepared to work with diverse populations in a variety of work settings, including infant-child care centers, juvenile and adult correction facilities, and other human service settings. This program requires a minimum of 120 credits, which includes general education, major, and elective courses. Major coursework spans a wide range of subjects-psychology at different life stages, counseling theory and practice, family dynamics, minority groups, and more. Human development major and general elective courses enable degrees to be tailored to students' specific interests and career goals.
