The Family and Consumer Sciences Associate in Science degree educates students in general life skills that can be applied to family life and to success in the workplace or to transfer toward a Bachelor's degree as a generalist in Family and Consumer Science. Through a broad base of coursework that includes life management, home finance, nutrition, child development, interior design and basic sewing, students gain practical and theoretical knowledge that improves the quality and standards of individual and family life and promotes informed consumerism.
