The objective of this MFA degree is to provide students with advanced study in Footwear & Accessory Design. Core 2D and 3D design skills will be covered for students unfamiliar with footwear and accessory design and construction. Emphasis will be placed on: Fast track classes to teach the fundamental skills of pattern drafting and construction , In-depth research developing and focusing a clear and unique aesthetic , Thorough concept development to final collection, The development of an original fabrication, technique and/or definable element , Developing a professional portfolio that demonstrates a clear aptitude for accessory design and construction , Collaboration with other graduate students within FSH, JEM and IND is encouraged.
