Our Master of Arts degree aims to prepare students across fields and expose them to a variety of critical and theoretical approaches, as well as to diverse national literatures. The Doctoral program allows students to focus on their particular area/s of interest, establish pertinent interdisciplinary connections to their work, and develop their research agendas through specialized seminars and one-on-one work with our faculty. Ph.D.'s also have the option of designing their thesis project so as to work in conjunction with faculty members in other units, such as English and Latin American and Latino Studies Program.
