An Associate in Arts Degree may be earned by completing a minimum of 60 units of degree credit coursework, including the major requirements and breadth requirements, with a minimum grade point average of 2.0. Students must complete all courses required for the major with a grade of C or better. Students can pursue any career with an AfricanaAfrican American Studies degree. Our classes meet the General Education requirements and transfer requirements. Africana Studies is an excellent preparation for a career in law, public policy, government and politics, journalism, education, public health, social work, health care, business, international relations, and many other careers.
