This two-year intensive program is designed for students who want to become Registered Dietitians by including an accredited Dietetic Internship (DI) program with the M.S. degree requirements. The DI has a specialization area in community and population health.<br><br>The facilities where you'll gain supervised learning experiences are found throughout Rhode Island and represent some of the best health care institutions in Southern New England. The variety of facilities provides an opportunity for you to experience different management styles and organizational climates. Classes associated with the program are generally held at URI's Kingston campus.<br><br>The program includes one year focusing on didactic coursework including completion of three concentration competencies associated with coursework and the other year focusing on experiential learning with supportive didactic coursework. Experiential learning covers a period of 36 weeks with over 1,200 hours of supervised practice in health care and community facilities.
