The combined BS/MS program that allows select students to earn both a bachelor of science (BS) and a master of science (MS) in industrial/organizational psychology in five years. Industrial/Organizational (I/O) psychology is a specialty area where psychology and business meet. It is the study of how psychology can be applied in the workplace. A master's degree in this area can lead to many different and exciting careers with a variety of different job titles. Students accepted into this combined degree program will substitute graduate courses for some of their undergraduate requirements in their junior and senior years. These graduate courses will count toward both their BS and MS degrees so that students can complete a master's degree with just one additional year at Salem State. The combined degree program can also save students money by reducing the total tuition expense for two degrees earned separately. The GRE or MAT entrance test is waived for students who apply for the combined MS/BS program.
