生物学系为学生提供了生物科学的核心基础，同时还具有灵活性，可以创造出独特的个性化教育体验。该系的师生比例低，可促进讲师与学生之间的互动，与教师进行研究的机会以及现代化且设备齐全的科学大楼。除了灵活的普通生物学专业（即BS Biological Sciences）外，该系还提供适合不同职业领域的专业学位课程。所有生物学学位课程的选择都要求学生选修类似的基础课程，然后根据不同的高级课程要求对每个学位课程进行专门设置​​。健康前课程旨在最大程度地提高在专业和专职健康领域从事职业的学生的成功率。

Our graduates have the knowledge to make informed and ethical scientific decisions. Our graduates think critically and creatively to analyze and solve scientific problems. Our graduates demonstrate the information literacy required for scientific study. Our graduates possess the knowledge and skill sets in biology to be successful.
