The Graduate Certificate in Social Aspects of Aging is a multi-disciplinary program designed to offer a limited number of academically and professionally oriented graduate experiences in aging. The graduate certificate program is located within the Department of Sociology and Anthropology in cooperation with the Departments of Family and Consumer Sciences, Psychology, Health Sciences, Speech Pathology and Audiology, and the School of Social Work. Get in-depth knowledge of the aging process. The social aspects of aging graduate certificate focuses on topics and challenges that come later in life, such as: Health and health care systems, Quality of life, Family dynamics, Communication, Our program is multidisciplinary. Curriculum touches a variety of academic areas including family and consumer sciences, psychology, social work, speech pathology, and health sciences. This gives you get a well-rounded and engaging education. The certificate requires 12 credit hours for completion.
