While students in either of the two programs could pursue their interests separately, the Combined Degree Program (CDP) allows students to gain greater expertise and strengths in the cross-section of the two programs. It is expected that students pursuing the CDP would have interests such as: museum informatics, digital cultural heritage, cultural information policy, the intersection of cultural memory institutions (libraries, archives, and museums), digital curation and use of social networking technologies in museums. Students accepted into both participating programs may register concurrently in both programs with the permission of each Graduate Coordinator. The CDP is available for full-time studies only. The minimum period of registration required to complete both degrees in the CDP is three years, instead of four years, if done separately. The time limit to complete the CDP is four years.<br>All CDP students complete the required courses of both the MI and MMSt degree programs and electives. CDP is offered on a full-time basis and is designed to be completed in 3 years (with a maximum allowed duration of 4 years).
