The M.S. in Viticulture and Enology is a 30-unit program designed to provide advanced studies and in-depth knowledge in the fundamentals of plant physiology, microbiology, and grape and wine chemistry, as well as technical writing and formal presentation of research reports.<br>Full-time graduate students may earn the degree within two years when working closely with an adviser. To accommodate part-time students, graduate courses are offered in the late afternoon or evenings.<br>Our graduates can be found in leading grape and wine positions around the nation and world, thanks to our applied, hands-on training in classes, our Viticulture and Enology Research Center (VERC), and our Fresno State Winery (the nation's first winery on a college campus and still the largest). Our faculty, staff and students are equally dedicated to solution-driven research and community outreach events to disseminate knowledge and information and lead the industry in new directions.
