Minimum requirements for admission
3.0 upper division GPA
3 strong letters of recommendation
300 GRE score, with at least 145 Quant
Course prerequisites with a grade of “B” or better in each of the following:
Calculus*
Statistics*
Intermediate-level Microeconomics (AEB 4374 Advanced Ag Micro, ECO 3101 Intermediate Micro, or other similar course approved by FRE)
Econometrics (ECO 4421 Intro to Econometrics, STA 4210 Regression Analysis, or other similar course approved by FRE)

International students who earned degrees at international institutions must submit:
Transcripts in both English and the native language
Copies of degree statements/certificates in both English and native language
Applicants with a bachelor’s degree only, a minimum grade point average of B (3.0), calculated from all grades and credits after the semester where the applicant reached 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours is required. For applicants from countries where English is not the official language, a minimum score on one of these English Language Skills tests, IELTS - 6.0,TOEFL IBT- 80, PBT- 550.

Expand your knowledge of economic theory for a career in private industry, state and federal government, education in the agricultural industry or prepare for a doctoral degree.<br>The MS courses provide solid economic theory and prepare for careers in private industry, state & federal government, secondary, post-secondary and professional institutions, and research & development.<br>The Master of Science in the Food and Resource Economics Department provides broad training in applied economics as it relates to food production, policy, marketing and trade, regional economics, and natural resource issues. Students are taught to use economic principles and quantitative methods to address empirical problems. The core consists of courses in microeconomics, policy, econometrics, statistics and survey research methods. Many students continue their education with a Ph.D. while others opt for employment with government agencies, nongovernmental organizations, foreign agencies, private consulting firms, or corporations.
