The Agricultural and Extension Education program will prepare you for agricultural teaching, extension, production and technical agriculture positions or other professional employment in government, industry or entrepreneurship where competence in communications and leadership is required. This program meets the needs of a growing industry, evidenced by high employment rates. In this program, you can choose one of three areas of emphasis - agriculture teacher education, extension education or agricultural and environmental technology. And, while you'll graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary succeeding in those areas, you will also be ready to take on other career paths - from marketing and selling to research and development.
