The “traditional” Ph.D. is for those who have obtained a Master’s degree at the time of matriculation, and the “straight-through” Ph.D. is an option for those who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree, but have not completed a Master’s degree. Ph.D. graduates have gone on to find success at government agencies, large agribusiness corporations, and leading agriculturalapplied economics departments across the country.
