The Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling provides comprehensive training for wall and floor tiling, and covers all practical and theoretical aspects of the trade. Some of the areas you can work in as a tiler includes new home building, renovation, mosaic murals, work on industrial sites, colour coordinator and estimator for a tile company. Much of wall and floor tiling work is straightforward, but it often requires skill and judgement. You will receive hands on-training from industry experienced teachers, train in excellent training facilities that are acknowledged as the best in Victoria, and gain practical experience on full scale projects.You must understand working drawings of buildings and be able to apply basic mathematics. Wall and floor tilers also do more complicated tiling work such as mosaics, pools and spas.These jobs require training, ability and experience. As a wall and floor tiler, you can work on commercial and domestic projects.Throughout the program you will learn different aspects of the floor and wall tiling industry including trade terminology and the use of various products, including ceramic and porcelain tiles.
