The goal for the General Studies program with an emphasis in Social, Behavioral and Human Understanding is to provide students with a strong base for looking at the social systems of individuals and societies. This Bachelor of General Studies helps students examine multiple perspectives on social and cultural change, and teaches them to assess the strengths and weaknesses of conflicting points of view. Students not only develop an appreciation of, and sensitivity to, differences between individuals from various economic, political, religious, cultural, ethnic and social backgrounds, but they also learn to think clearly about complex problems and employ creative innovation when finding solutions.
