The specialization in design and culture is an interdisciplinary program for students interested in the arts and how design reflects and affects culture. With the help of a faculty mentor, you will design a curriculum to provide you with the basic skills necessary for career options as varied as advertising design, copy writing, retail services, art criticism and/or with in nonprofit cultural institutions such as arts and crafts museums and galleries. Students will take 30 credits of interdisciplinary studies courses including INTER2023, INTER2024 Design and Culture Workshop I and II plus an additional 30 credits in Art, Film, Business, Communication and related courses.
