Multi-disciplinary studies, general, is meant to encourage individuals to enter the teaching profession or educationally related agencies, prepare students for leadership, teaching and service roles in public schools and other educational services, and to promote active participation in academic, social, civic and cultural programs within the university and beyond. This curriculum is designed to provide graduates with the needed foundation of teaching skills based on the latest in instructional theory in addition to content from various other disciplines including psychology, sociology, child development, arts/music and personal wellness.
