Throughout this program, you'll explore how different disciplines approach inquiry, examine multiple styles of learning, and incorporate cultural diversity into your teaching. The knowledge and skills you'll pick up will enable you to become an effective educator and work with diverse learners across a variety of settings. UTSA is approved by the State Board for Educator Certification to recommend students for teaching certification in various baccalaureate degree areas.The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (degree-only concentration) program is for students interested in obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree without obtaining teacher certification. The minimum number of semester credit hours required for this degree is 120, at least 39 of which must be at the upper-division level. Students seeking the Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies without teacher certification must fulfill University Core Curriculum requirements.
