You may apply as an international graduate student if you have completed a bachelor's degree from either a U.S. regionally accredited college or university or its foreign equivalent before starting graduate study. UTA offers master's degrees, doctoral degrees, and graduate certification programs. The minimum acceptable score on the TOEFL is on the Internet-based test 79 (with sectional scores of 22 writing, 21 speaking, 20 reading, and 16 listening), 550 on the paper-based test and 213 on the computer-based test. The IELTS can be substituted for TOEFL scores. The minimum acceptable overall score of 6.5 is required for admission. Undergraduate transcripts with a 3.0 GPA during the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework or 3.0 cumulative GPA, whichever is higher. Graduate transcripts with a 3.0 GPA on the last 9 graduate course work will be considered if criteria not met in undergraduate course work.
