Undergraduate GPA of 2.5 (institutional bachelor’s degree) requires no GRE. Applicants with a GPA below 2.5 in the institutional bachelor’s will not be admitted. Upon acceptance and eligibility to remain in the program, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA average. Hold a baccalaureate degree for an accredited institution of higher education that was accredited at the time recognized by the Texas Higher Education coordinating board. Hold a valid teaching certificate. Teaching Experience: Must have teaching experience: 2 years for admissions & 3 years for certification per Texas Education Agency rule. In order to obtain Texas certification as an Educational Diagnostician you must be employed on a TEA approved public or private school campus where you will obtain the required practicum hours for certification.
