The Rehabilitation Studies and Services, B.S.E., program endorses the philosophy that rehabilitation is a process of empowerment in which people exercise control over their own lives. We believe environmental barriers (physical, social, workplace, educational, attitudinal) cause one to be disabled, marginalized, and disconnected. Every person has the right to be a full participant in our communities. The program, which requires 34 credit hours, prepares students who want to become human service workers in rehabilitation with a comprehensive knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the service delivery skills needed to assist consumers with disabilities in achieving their individual goals.
