We offer excellent postgraduate research supervision, as well as taught Master's degrees including a significant research component. Our researchers can provide you with high-quality research supervision in areas such as teaching and learning processes, special educational needs, mental health and wellbeing in childhood and education, digital society and education, childhood, gender and culture, and early years provision.<br>All our programmes are subject to regular and rigorous external assessment by Ofsted and the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). Student satisfaction has placed us near the top of the National Student Survey and our most recent Ofsted inspection rated the department ?outstanding?.<br>We have strong links with the three research centres in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences: Centre for Studies in Literature (CSL), Centre for European and International Studies Research (CEISR) and the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies (ICJS). We also work closely with local charities and Portsmouth City Council, as well as approximately 100 local and regional primary and secondary schools and early years settings.
