The Master of Education is designed to meet the needs of experienced educators seeking professional learning, personal and professional enquiry and intellectual engagement within a specialist area or across a range of specialisations. Critically evaluate a range of theoretical frameworks in education and related fields in order to design, assess and/or theorise responses to changing educational contexts. Synthesise and analyse scholarly literature to deepen knowledge of local and international developments in practice and to support the development of project and research planning. Consolidate professional experience, workplace knowledge and contemporary literature in developing creative responses to current educational debates. Use a range of communicative technologies to explain complex theoretical concepts in relation to practice-based issues, educational research, policy and current literature to specialist and non-specialist audiences. Articulate how collegial educational professionalism requires ethical standards as well as evidence-based and exploratory approaches of practice, research, and evaluation.
