The postgraduate program in gifted education is designed primarily to prepare educators for professional work and leadership in gifted education. An understanding of giftedness, and the range of educational programs and services that provide an appropriate response to student diversity, will benefit all educators and professionals who work with gifted students. Lecturers bring to the topics a range of perspectives from their diverse backgrounds in teaching, philosophy, educational psychology and research, and imbue each topic with passion and extensive knowledge of the field. Postgraduate programs in gifted education at Flinders attract participants from South Australia, interstate and overseas. Our courses are dynamic and are regularly revised and updated in the light of current research, new publications and contemporary practices. These courses do not lead to teacher registration in South Australia.
