Impact the next generation of art teachers and help develop the research that demonstrates the importance of art education on students' overall academic performance.<br>As a candidate for the Ph.D. in Art Education, you'll work with faculty partners to investigate how art is taught in real classroom settings, how gender and ethnic background affect art education, and how technology is changing the way we teach art.<br>This 90-credit hour degree prepares you for a career as a university or college educator and researcher.<br>At the completion of your course work and before you begin your dissertation, you will need to pass a qualifying exam, in the form of portfolio of work and an oral examination.
