This 30-credit program prepares you for an administrative post in K-12 public and private school systems. Through an advanced curriculum you will receive the training and credentials needed to qualify for New York State certification as both a school building leader and a school district leader. Upon completion of the coursework, students must pass the New York State School Leadership Assessment.<br><br>Course offerings include topics in leadership, supervision, law and curricular concerns in public school administration, as well as district administrative problems and solutions. Under the mentorship of a school administrator, students will complete a 400-hour, hands-on administrative internship. Candidates for this program must possess a master's degree, permanent teaching certificate and three years of teaching under such certification.
