Freshmen candidates applying directly from high school are expected to complete a rigorous college preparatory curriculum (Core 40 curriculum for Indiana residents) and maintain a competitive grade point of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale or the rigor of the high school curriculum, grades earned in academic subjects, and other evidence of academic potential or students completing GED diplomas are also given admission consideration based upon percentile rank, schooling completed, and additional standardized test scores.
English Language Requirements:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum iBT score of 61; a minimum CBT score of 173; or a minimum paper-based score of 500
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum score of 6.0 (or higher)
- ELS Language Training Program: successful completion of level 112 (or higher)

As a Physical Education All-Grade major at Indiana State, you will apply the theoretical knowledge of physical fitness to multiple areas of study including:<br><br>Fitness, net sports, team sports, and dance <br>Human growth and motor development <br>Social behavioral aspects of physical education <br>Teaching theory and methods<br>You will become knowledgeable about pedagogy, physiology, biomechanics, and sports activity. And you will work with local students in all grade levels -- high school, middle school, and elementary school.
