The Health Education Certificate imparts the knowledge and skills necessary for health educators, and is aligned with the seven areas of responsibility outlined by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES). Upon completing this 12 credit-hour certificate, students will be able to: Assess individual and community needs for health education.
