Our master of arts in teaching middle school mathematics is a unique program that serves practicing middle school mathematics teachers who already hold an initial license in middle school mathematics and are seeking to further their education in both mathematics and pedagogy. This track includes advanced pedagogy coursework along with middle school mathematics content courses, and will help teachers satisfy DESE requirements for professional license.<br>The Master of Arts in Teaching Middle School Mathematics, a 39 credit hour program, will serve middle school teachers who already have an appropriate initial license, and who wish to complete a master's degree program to become eligible to apply for professional licensure. Upon acceptance into the program, you will complete a tentative Plan of Study in consultation with the program coordinator. You must request that any transfer credits be considered at this time.
