The mathematics education Master's program emphasizes the development of mathematics pedagogy as well as knowledge of mathematics education research. The program is designed for in-service teachers wishing to take additional course work or working towards a Master's degree in mathematics education, students wishing to pursue a Master's and certification to teach in mathematics education, and students wishing to obtain a Master's degree in mathematics education in order to continue into a doctoral program. The program is comprised of a minimum of 30 credits of coursework in three major areas: Mathematics Education, Mathematics, and Research.
