Hold an earned bachelorÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s degree or equivalent from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional or general accrediting agency, or an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university, Have a minimum 3.0 GPA for the last 60 hours of undergraduate study and a minimum 3.0 GPA for all prior graduate work. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), or 79 (iBT), International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.5 or higher, GRE verbal score of 500 (153, Revised GRE) or higher.

Our graduate programs in art education are multicultural and comprehensive in their approach to the art disciplines of history, criticism, aesthetics and studio art production. In addition to providing you with competencies in art education commensurate with the guidelines and standards of the Texas Education Agency, the Texas Art Education Association and the National Art Education Association, our master's programs also will foster a broad knowledge of art history, art criticism, aesthetics and studio art production, while teaching you to apply that knowledge in a classroom setting.
