To earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), students must complete:

• • 17 compulsory credits
  • 13 optional credits
  • 40 hours of community involvement
  • The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) in Grade 10 or the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course
  • 2 eLearning credits (opt-out form available)

This program is also designed to be completed in four years following Grade 8.

To record volunteer hours, students should request a letter from the organization confirming:

• • Type of volunteer work
  • Total hours completed
  • Contact name

The IB Diploma Program is a comprehensive two year program that takes place in the last 2 years of high school - Grades 11 & 12. To be eligible for an IB Diploma, candidates are to take a subject from​ each of the six groups of the Diploma Program, as well as complete three requirements of the Diploma Program core – the Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (ToK), and Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS).
