The Department of Education offers a Master of Arts in Education degree for liberal arts graduates interested in pursuing an elementary school teaching career. The Elementary Program prepares students to teach grades 1-6. This is a fall entrance only program which is 3 semesters long (fall, spring, fall). The deadline for application is January 1 of the year in which the applicant wishes to enroll. Additional applications may be considered after January 1, but financial aid opportunities are not as great after the January deadline.
