If you did not attend high school in the United States and your most recent institution of learning was not located in an English-speaking country, UTEP requires you to provide evidence of English-language proficiency. Minimum score 550 on the paper-based (pBT) TOEFL. Some programs require 600 or better. Minimum score of 79 on the internet-based test (iBT), and minimum of 6.5 on IELTS.

课程简介
This degree promotes innovative approaches to literacy researcheducation and helps teachers enhance their knowledge of literacy with linguistically diverse learners, which puts them in a position to take leadership roles at the campus, district and community levels. Students will learn to balance theories with current literacy practice and to develop, implement and assess literacy curriculum. The goal of the M.Ed. in Literacy Education is to prepare literacy leaders for diverse PK-12 contexts as well as other educational settings. The program includes 36 credit hours, or 12 courses, at the graduate level, culminating in a research-to-practice capstone experience in RED 5349: Literacy Education Practicum.
