The two-year Bilingual-Bicultural Education master's degree program offers both pre- and in-service teachers the opportunity to support educational and social change for traditionally underserved students, families and communities. Students in our program integrate theory and research on second language acquisition into practice for language learners. Using an understanding of the history and policies of language education and how context affects the education of language learners, students analyze various assessment issues that affect language learners, such as accountability, reliability, validity, bias and special education.
