Information technology is no longer a solely or primarily a technical issue. Not enough consultants, systems developers or managers understand the critical interplay between technology, organisations and change. This unique course gives you the skills to do just that. Designing, developing, implementing and managing information technology requires a thorough understanding of the ways in which organisational change is managed. You will develop your knowledge of these key themes along with strategic impact, organisational implications and business value of information technology. You will be encouraged to think through the social and ethical dimensions relating to technology. You will also look at the role of consultancy, business analysis and the management of projects, and explore the current and future technological landscape. The programme attracts high-calibre students across all backgrounds, countries and genders. We do not aim to produce IT managers or computing wizards. Instead we offer students an advanced grounding in key areas of IT and management. Our teaching combines academic rigour with business-relevant content thanks to close collaboration with industry partners.
