课程简介
Designed for students seeking an in-depth study of computing, this course explores the theory and application of computer science in problem-solving. The discipline extends across various fields, including science, engineering, business, commerce, the arts, and humanities. It equips students with the ability to think like computer scientists, enabling them to design algorithms for computational processes and develop efficient data structures for information storage. Additionally, practical programming skills are emphasized to implement these solutions in real-world applications. The curriculum also provides a strong foundation in computational theory and its mathematical connections. The course offers flexibility with four specialization options: algorithms and software studies—including graphics, intelligent systems, and networks—cybersecurity, which covers tools, techniques, privacy concepts, and secure software and network systems; data science; and data science combined with artificial intelligence, focusing on managing large-scale datasets in the digital age. As a culmination of their studies, students undertake a significant project related to their chosen specialization.Eligible students may also apply for the industry-based learning (IBL) placement program, which integrates practical experience into the curriculum. Through this program, students apply their computer science knowledge to real-world problems in professional environments, further enhancing their skills and industry readiness. The students will equip with the skills to extract valuable insights from complex data sets. Master data visualisation, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques, enabling you to make data-driven decisions and accurate predictions.
