The Printmaking & Drawing concentration values technical aptitude and innovation by merging traditional drawing methods with contemporary thinking about process, materials, and the development of personal vision.<br><br>Drawing is at the creative core of a range of art practices and is itself a highly expansive and exploratory field. Printmaking offers further expressive and conceptual options for artists interested in works on paper by offering a range of courses that teach lithography, screen printing, relief and intaglio methods, and mixed-media printmaking that bridges the digital and the handmade. <br><br>Students will find faculty that bring diverse experience to this area as artists who operate as painters, digital designers, book artists, sculptors, fabric artists and more. Further, with access to the Special Collections Library and the Weatherspoon Museum of Art's collection of contemporary works on paper and prints, students can closely study artworks that inspire, teach, and engage powerfully across the cultural spectrum.
