The graphic design program at Binghamton University builds upon the liberal arts training of its students, preparing them to express and communicate conceptual, narrative and informational content from a wide range of knowledge domains. The program trains its students to become creative problem-solvers who make sophisticated use of visual language to communicate substantive information and interpretive perspectives across a variety of media that ranges from the printed page to the digital screen. Students are encouraged to develop their distinctive voice of expression, enriched by broad exposure to the fine arts and equipped with conceptual and technical tools of graphic design, to become skilled visual communicators in a complex world. Graphic Design is housed in two computer labs equipped with 48 Macs and a computer design center with 10 Macs.
