The Department of Fine and Performing Arts aims to give to students the rich perspective and personal fulfillment that derives from studying and imagining the deep essence of civilization and examining their own potential and responsibilities as individuals in a global community. We accomplish this through a variety of course offerings, special programs, and affiliations with some of the world's great museums, concert halls, and theatres, as well as a full, diverse calendar of campus arts events. Students who wish to study graphic design as a major concentration should refer to the Business Communications major Specialization in Graphic Communication. The graphic communication specialization provides training in graphics as well as exposure to the broader aspects of business communication. It prepares the graphic artist to enter a business environment.
