A Bachelor of Science with emphasis in Sound Recording Technology (SRT) prepares students for a career in the audio industry. The SRT program includes coursework in recording, sound for video, music production, multimedia, as well as electronics, sound and acoustics, theory, applied lessons, and ensembles. Are musicians as well as sound engineers. Receive real-world experience in an off-campus, world class analog and digital facility. Have an extensive curriculum that includes surround sound mixing, DVD authoring, classical and pop recording and sound for video post production. Write and produce pop music as well as film scores, commercial recordings, and multimedia compositions. There are two application tracks for Sound Recording Technology Majors: Performance Track: Sound Recording Technology Applicants pursuing a performance track, please refer to your specific instrument's audition requirements. Non- Performance Track: Sound Recording Technology Applicants pursuing a non-performance track must submit a video audition performing two selections that demonstrate their facility and musical understanding by February 1. There is no need for a live audition.
